Week long inter-college youth Festival of Vet. Varsity concluded with a note of gaiety. Lt. Gen. A. J. Singh, VSM, Director General Remount Veterinary Services & Colonal Commandant Remount Veterinary Corps was Chief Guest on this occasion whereas Dr. AS Nanda, Vice-Chancellor Presided over the Function. Youth Festival was started on 9th November onward under the guidance of Dr. Satyavan Rampal, DSW Cum EO of GADVASU. Dr. Baljit Singh Gill, Dean, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary and Dr. Jaspinder Narula, Chief Veterinary Officer, Canada was guest of honour.
Nidhi Sharma organizing secretary said that there was competition of about 30 events. more than 200 students participated in this youth festival. Three in Campus Colleges, College of Fisheries, College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology Participated alongwith, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani, Bathinda, Baba Hira Das ji College of Veterinary Pharmacy, Badal and Khalsa College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Amritsar. Students pageanted their art in different fields like Fine Arts, Theatre, Singing, Dances and Literary events. Renowned Punjabi Singer Jasbir Jassi enthralled the audience with his melodious songs on Sufism and Punjabi culture.
Dr Naresh Kumar Sood, President, Dance, Drama and Music Club said that a number of important dignitaries attended the function. Students of Both the universities were in cheerful mood to attend the function. Teachers, employees and officers of GADVASU were present in good number for ceremonial treat.
