extended warm welcome to Dr. Saha. Dr. Saha took a glimpse and discussed about agricultural and livestock technologies disseminated by KVK Tarn Taran to the district farmers. Dr. Saha visited the farmer field at village Hari Ke and seen the crop of gobhi sarson grown by S. Gurcharan Singh under Cluster Front Line Demonstrations on Rabi Oilseeds. Dr Saha interacted with farmers and told them about the use of recommended varieties, fertilizers and other agronomic practices for getting good yield from the crop. He explained the concept of Integrated Farming System and importance of diversification to the farmers and appealed them to get in touch with KVK for getting updated knowledge about agriculture and livestock farming. Dr. Saha also visited Vermi compost unit and marigold seed production plot at KVK and suggested to the KVK team for putting more efforts to increase area under flower cultivation. Dr. Saha appreciated the work of KVK, Tarn Taran and said that KVK Tarn Taran is young KVK and in short span is doing good work for the benefit of the farming community. Dr. Anil Kumar extended vote of thanks to the Dr Saha for visiting at KVK and farmer's fields.
