The College of Veterinary Science of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated the Oath Taking Ceremony of 67 passing out veterinarians of 2011 batch.
Dr Simrat Sagar Singh, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr SPS Ghuman, Professor & Head, Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries and shared the achievements of students who brought laurels to the University in the field of academics, sports, and extra-curricular activities. Dr Singh administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the passing out graduates and gave his blessings for a bright and prosperous future of the students. He advised the students to keep in touch with the University so that they can learn about the recent developments in the profession for upliftment of their knowledge and professional skill. He talked about the available placement opportunities for the veterinarians like Govt. jobs, private practice, pharmaceuticals, banks, defence services and research organizations. He highlighted the importance of higher education and the need of specialization keeping in view the recent developments in science.
The passing out graduates Kanwarjot Singh and Himani also shared their experiences in the past 5 years during their stay in the university.
Heads of various departments and a large number of faculty members also attended the function.
