It is dire need of the hour to stop female foeticide. If we want to celebrate festival like Teej we should take oath to curb the female foeticide. All the Girls & ladies gathered here should inculcate this spirit to save the future girls. These emotional words were shared by Aruna Taneja wife of Dr. V.K.Taneja Vice Chancellor GADVASU at Teej festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary And Animal Sciences University.
The Teej festival was celebrated at college of Veterinary Science on Independence Day. A large numbers of girls from four different universities & many colleges gathered at GADVASU Campus to enjoy this cultural festival exclusively meant for eves. A number of competitions were arranged to develop a healthier approach for cultural traditions. The followings were winners of the competitions.

On this occasion Paramjit Kaur shivalik Councillor announced a grant of Rs. 51000 to cultural wing of GADVASU on behalf of Hira S.Gabria cabinet minister Punjab for cultural affairs.Mrs. Rajwinder Kaur Sandhu, Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur Dean college of Fisheries, Dr. Asha Dhawan HOD and Dr. Mrs.Uppal performed their duty as Judge of the different events.
