Dr. Lachhman Das Singla, Associate Professor, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), has been conferred President’s special prize for excellence in poster presentation at National level during the annual conference of Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists as communicated recently. During the conference, he presented his research work on, “Enzyme histochemistry of caecal coccidiosis in poultry”. This study can prove to be a good biological tool for testing new drugs as the enzymes he identified can act as a target site for many drugs. Other scientists from departments of Veterinary Parasitology and Anatomy Drs. Aradhana, Neelam Bansal and P.D. Juyal will share this award with Dr. Singla as co-authors for the paper. Dr. Singla has also been appointed as Associate Editor of three International journals viz. Journal of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health, Journal of Parasitology and Vector Biology, and International Journal of Library and Information Science due to his meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role in education and research.
