The Human Resource Management Cell (HRMC) of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University successfully organized a two-day workshop entitled "Writing Winning Research and Grant Proposals" with the primary goal of equipping faculty members and researchers with the skills needed to secure competitive research funding.
The workshop featured Dr. Chander K. Shahi, a renowned expert and Dean of Graduate Studies at Lakehead University, Canada. Dr. Shahi shared practical strategies for crafting compelling research proposals. Participants received in-depth guidance on key aspects, including understanding funding agency requirements, structuring proposals effectively, and articulating research impact. The sessions were highly interactive, fostering vibrant discussions and offering hands-on learning opportunities.
A significant highlight of the workshop was Dr. Shahi's interaction with Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor to explore collaborative opportunities between the two universities with an aim of student and faculty exchange and joint research ventures.
Dr. A.K. Arora, Director of Research motivated attendees to actively pursue research proposal writing, emphasizing its role in advancing academic excellence and fostering professional growth. Dr. S.K. Uppal, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, congratulated the HRMC team on organizing such a valuable event, expressing confidence in its long-term benefits for both faculty members and postgraduate students.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. L.D. Singla Director HRMC. The seamless coordination of the event by Dr. Paramjeet Kaur was also lauded.
