8^th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Clay Art and Collage MakingCompetitions. Dr Simrat Sagar Singh, Dean PGS and Dr JPS Gill, Director Research were the chief guest for the day. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Student’s welfare told that youth festival aims to propagate the concept of national integration, communal harmony, brotherhood, courage and adventure amongst the youth by providing them a platform for inculcating values and respect for traditions, culture and heritage.

Nidhi Sharma, organizing secretary of festival detailed that topics for Collage Making were ‘Girls Life’. Total 10 students participated in Collage Making competition. On the second day’s second session Clay Modeling competition was held. The topic for this competition was ‘Relationship’. Eight students showcased their talent in clay modeling. In all the competitions, students from three colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, School of Animal Biotechnology and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar participated in the events. The students were highly motivated and participated with high spirits.

In the afternoon session Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Dean College of Veterinary Science, Dr. Asha Dhawan, Dean College of Fisheries was graced the occasion as Chief Guest

Dr N K Sood, President, Dance Drama and Music Club, GADVASU informed that Installation, on the Spot Painting, in first session at 8.a.m. while Rangoli Making Competition in second session will be held on 11.11.2017 at College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.
