Faculty and students of Department of Veterinary Medicine, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana attended 40th annual convention of Indian Society for Veterinary Medicine and National conference on “Multifaceted approaches for integrating Veterinary Medicine and one health for a holistic future”. It was held at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Kerala. Drs. Ashwani Kumar, Asmita Narang, Shabnam Sidhu and Gurpreet Singh along with 12 M.V.Sc. students attended and presented their research papers in different sessions and bagged 10 oral and poster presentation awards. Dr. Ashwani Kumar, HoD presented a lead paper on “Diagnostic and Therapeutic approach to Reticulo-ruminal and abdominal disorders in cattle and buffaloes” . Dr. Asmita Narang won the best oral presentation award for a paper entitled “Laryngeal hemiplegia in a horse” co-authored by Dr. Ashwani Kumar in. Dr. Shabnam Sidhu bagged another best oral presentation award for a paper entitled “M-mode echocardiography and ultrasonographic evaluation of cattle with pleuropneumonia” co-authored by Dr. S.K. Uppal . Dr Gurpreet Singh won the best oral presentation award for the paper “Unravelling Canine Esophageal Complexities: A Comprehensive Study Of Diverse Cases And Diagnostic Challenges” co-authored by Drs. Raj Sukhbir Singh, Swaran Singh, Arun Anand, Jasnit Singh and Kuldip Gupta. Drs. Asmita Narang and Shabnam Sidhu attended a pre-conference workshop on “Echocardiography in Dogs” and brushed up their skills in the technique.
