Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana in collaboration with CLIO Mother and Child Institute, Ludhiana organized the hands on training programme on Basic Life Support (BSL)for the students and provide them the tips how to save life barehanded and an emergency preparedness in a medical emergency. enior Consultant (Pediatrics) practically demonstrated to the students that under emergency circumstances they can lend a hand to any people who suddenly unresponsive in their close vicinity and can save a life by providing the basic life support skills.
Dr. Bansal advised that BSL training modules should be the core part of course curriculum at various educational institutions. Dr Venus Bansal, Senior Consultant (Gynaecology and Obstetrics) delivered the expert lecture on technology advancement in medical sciences especially in the field of gynaecology that can be adopted in the veterinary practices on small animals. Dr S.K. Uppal, Dean Postgraduate studies, GADVASU also shared his experiences with the participants that as vet clinicians they can use their skills to save the precious life of nature’s creatures. He honoured the eminent guest speakers and trainers of the event. Dr L.D. Singla extended the vote of thanks to the experts who imparted their knowledge and experience with the students. Dr. Singla said that Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor is always a source of inspiration, motivation and a guiding force to organize such lectures to enhance professional competency and produce skilled human resources.
