Vet Varsity Scientists sweep awards at International Symposium

 The faculty and postgraduate students of the Department of Veterinary Anatomy, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana,  participated in XXXVI Annual Convention of Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists and International Symposium on “Advancements in Anatomical Studies: The Stepping Stone in Transforming Livestock and Wildlife Sector while Achieving the Global Sustainable Development” organized by Department of Veterinary Anatomy & Histology, College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Navania, Vallabhnagar, Udaipur. 
The scientists of the department were bestowed with prestigious awards from the association in admiration of their contribution to anatomy teaching, research and to the growth of the Association. Dr. Varinder Uppal, HoD, Veterinary Anatomy, was conferred with the esteemed Dr. V R Bhamburkar award for ‘Anatomist of the Year’. Dr. Devendra Pathak, Senior Scientist in the department was conferred with the Fellowship of Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists. Dr. Kritima Kapoor, Assistant Professor, won Dr. KS Roy award and medal for best paper presentation .Dr. Amit Poonia PhD scholar of the department received Mrs. O. Wati & Dr. Yashwant Singh Medal & Award for Best Oral Presentation , Ms. Roop Kiran and Mr. SAV Manikant Sarma M.V.Sc students of the department received Dr. V. Ramakrishna Silver Jubilee Medal & Award for Best Oral Presentation and Dr. K.L. Suri Medal & Award for Best Poster Presentation respectively.
Dr. S P S Ghuman, Dean, COVS (Ludhiana) congratulated Head of the department, faculty members and students and encouraged them to participate in such conventions with full zeal. 
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU, congratulated all the participants and awardees. He affirmed that GADVASU is earning recognition on national and international platforms and it is due to the hard work carried out by the faculty members and students.
