In a meeting called to discuss the issue related to strike and blocking of Ferozepur road by the failed students, GADVASU Teachers Association strongly condemned the protest. Teachers said, that it is common for the casual students to fail in the university who do not work hard. Teachers Association took strong note of involvement of parents of one of the failed student in organizing the protest. Teachers were of the view that parents should motivate their wards to work hard rather than organizing protests in their favour. It is moral responsibility of the students to toil hard in their studies to become good doctors and save the lives of sick animals. If the university does not maintain the education standards and imparts degrees to undeserving students, then what is the use of examination system. The end losers in this scenario will be poor livestock farmers and public in general.
The failed student was given two mercy chances as per university rules, but due to poor performance could not clear the examination, so the protest is unjustified. . The president of GADVASU Teachers Association Dr. Ashwani Kumar made it clear that examination system of GADVASU under Veterinary Council of India is transparent and one of the best in the country. Faculty advised the students to work hard and bring glory to the institute as well as their families.
