College of Animal Biotechnology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana organized two days national webinar on “Cowpathy and Human Health” in collaboration with the Society for Immunology and Immunopathology (SIIP). Dr OP Chaudhary, Joint Secretary, National Livestock Mission and Chairman Animal Welfare Board of India inaugurated the national webinar along with Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU, Ludhiana, Dr RS Chauhan, Secretary General, SIIP, Dr SK Garg, Former Vice-chancellor, DUVASU Mathura. Dr Yashpal Singh Malik, Organizing Secretary and Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology, GADVASU emphasized the importance of Panchgavya. They discussed about the wide applications of the subject and the potential for sustainable agriculture production, health and nutrition of humans, production of bio-fertilizers, production of non-conventional energy and for maintaining the bio-diversity of the ecosystem. The webinar was attended by people having interest in Panchgavya and the vent was online streamed at various platforms including INSCON, DenuTV, Facebook, YouTube etc.
A book on “Cowpathy and Human Health” authored by Dr. R.S. Chauhan and Dr. Yashpal Singh Malik was also released on this occasion along with the compendium consisting of abstracts of research articles. Dr. Malik presented a scroll of honour to Dr. R.S. Chauhan as “The Man of Modern Cowpathy” for his outstanding contributions in the field of immunology, immunopathology and Cowpathy. The symposium witnessed 29 guest speakers, 19 posters and seven oral presentations from different parts of the country.
