Under the umbrella of Institutional Development Plan (IDP) being operational in Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), College of Dairy Science and Technology has started remedial classes for the undergraduate students. These classes are being started under the dynamic and able guidance of Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU who is also the leader of the IDP. According to him, these classes are required to raise the level of comprehension of basic subjects and strengthen the knowledge, skills and attitude in the subjects. arting these classes to improve the practical skills of the students and improve other academic deficiencies which remained there especially during Covid period.Dr Ramneek, Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology, addressed the students in the opening ceremony. He informed the students that curriculum of these classes is specially designed keeping in mind the needs/ interest of the students. Rai, Coordinator of the remedial classes highlighted that these classes will be free of cost to the concerned students and will be conducted in off hours and Saturdays. Dr Varinder Pal Singh, IDP In-charge of college, emphasized that about 25 hours of theory and practicals will devoted to each of six selected courses. There will be a short test after every 5 hours of teaching to assess the improvement in the level of understanding and the result will be discussed with the students.
