Dr. Prem Sairam, PhD scholar of Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, GADVASU participated in the National level canine conference “Indian VETopia - 2021” organized by National Veterinary Foundation, India. Dr. Prem Sairam, C., PhD Scholar of Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, GADVASU presented a research paper on “Surgical Management of Humeral Condylar Fractures in Dogs” authored by Drs. Prem Sairam, C., Tarunbir Singh and S K Mahajan and won the “Young Scientist Award”. The conference was organized in association with Vetstream Educational partner at Jaipur, India. Around 200 Veterinarians including Scientists and Post graduate students from all over the country attended the conference. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Umesh Sharma, President, Veterinary Council of India.
Dr. Navdeep Singh, Professor cum Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, GADVASU, congratulated the student. Dr Navdeep Singh said that the main purpose of the event was to impart the latest knowledge among veterinarians to create a platform for one health objective in India. He further stated that Humeral Condylar Fractures in Dogs is a challenging problem and this study will help in finding a solution to this problem. Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU congratulated the award winner for this achievement. He also praised faculty members of the Department who guided Dr. Prem Sairam and helped him in bagging this award.
