College of Animal Biotechnology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana hosted a virtual outreach event in collaboration with Department of Biotechnology (DBT) / Wellcome Trust India Alliance. The opening remarks were made by Prof. Yashpal Singh Malik, Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology. He while welcoming the participants appreciated the efforts of DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance and hoped that participants will be definitely benefitted from the virtual outreach event. There were four technical sessions. The sessions include presentations from eminent speakers on Ethics in Research and Communication, How to Write an Effective Grant Proposal, Crafting a Career in Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Funding Opportunities by India Alliance. The virtual outreach programme was attended by over 150 participants comprising of teachers, students and researchers from different colleges of GADVASU. At the end of each technical session there were quick questions and answers session to address the queries of the participants. The interactive sessions will benefit the budding researchers to plan and write good research proposals in biomedical research.
