Taking in view the directions issued by the Central and State governments to check spread of coronavirus, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, (GADVASU) has decided to postpone its Pashu Palan Mela scheduled to be held on March 20 and 21 at GADVASU Campus, Ludhiana. The decision was taken during the meeting, held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amarjit Singh Nanda.
The Director of Extension Education Dr. Harish Kumar Verma said: “It is our duty to follow the instructions of the government and National Health Mission in the interest of public health.” He informed that all the important inputs like five types of Area Specific Mineral Mixture, Uromin Lick, Bypass fat, Mastitis Kit, Milk Adulteration Testing Kit, Oral Magnet, University Magazine 'Vigyanak Pashu Palan' and different publications for farmers will be available for sale at all the Kirshi Vigyan Kendras and Regional Research and Training Centres. Farmers may register their names at these centres for different training programmes related with livestock. All these inputs are readily available at GADVASU Campus, Ludhiana also. For any query farmers can contact at the helpline number. Farmers can also register their names for getting elite germplasm of university-Murrah bull calf, Sahiwal and HF bull calf etc. at these centres. Dr Verma assured that Vet Varsity is always available in the service of farmers at their beck and call.
