Ninth Inter-college youth Festival of Vet. Varsity concluded with a note of gaiety. S. Balbir Singh Sidhu, Cabinet Minister, Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries Department was Chief Guest 
on this occasion whereas Dr. AS Nanda, Vice-Chancellor Presided over the Function. S. Sidhu recollected his old college days and memories of festivities of that time. Youth Festival was started on 30th October onward in two phases under the guidance of Dr. Satyavan Rampal, DSW Cum EO of GADVASU.
Dr. Rampal informed that there was competition of about 30 events. More than 200 students participated in this youth festival. Three in Campus Colleges, College of Fisheries, College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology Participated alongwith, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani, 
Bathinda, Baba Hira Das ji College of Veterinary Pharmacy, Badal and Khalsa College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Amritsar. Students pageanted their art in different fields like Fine Arts, Theatre, Singing, Dances and Literary events. Renowned Punjabi Singer Arshpreet Kaur enthralled the audience with her melodious songs.
Dr Naresh Kumar Sood, President, Dance, Drama and Music Club said that a number of important dignitaries attended the function. Students of Both the universities were in cheerful mood to attend the function. Teachers, employees and officers of GADVASU were present in good number for ceremonial treat.
