Dr. S. Rampal, DSW-cum-EO and Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Professor, Department of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, have been conferred Fellow of Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, by Governor of Haryana, Professor Kaptan Singh Salanki at 17thAnnual Conference of India Society of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology and National Symposium on ‘Combating Antimicrobial Resistance’ held at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Hisar. These scientists have been honoured for their contribution in the field of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology. Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma has been unanimously elected as General Secretary of the Society for next three years. Dr. S. Rampal, Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma and Dr. S.P.S. Saini chaired the different Scientific Sessions in the Conference. The Conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from different parts of country. Out of total three Young Scientist Awards of the Society, two awards were bagged by students of GADVASU. Dr. Pallavi Bhardwaj and Dr. Rashmi Sagar, Ph.D students of Pharmacology & Toxicology were awarded Dr. R Natarajan and Dr. J.V. Anjaria Young Scientist Awards, respectively for their excellent research work in the field of Pharmacokinetics and Ethnopharmacology, respectively. Out of total four Best Poster Awards of the Society in different Poster Sessions, two awards were bagged by GADVASU scholars. Dr. Rasika, Research officer, Collaborative Centre for Research in Veterinary Ayurveda and Dr. Pallavi Bhardwaj, were awarded for their research work. These awards were conferred by Dr. Joykrushna Jena, Deputy Director General (Animal Sciences), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi at the Valedictory function. Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU congratulated the fellows and award winners.
