The College of Dairy Science and Technology of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana launched the processed goat milk for the benefit of consumers and small farmers. Dr. A.K. Puniya, Dean College of Dairy Science and Technology revealed that Goat milk is naturally homogenized better digested and rarely cause lactose intolerance. Due to its health benefits, it is becoming popular among consumers. He said that this initiative is going to benefit the goat farmers of surrounding areas, as the popularity of goat milk was increased. Interested persons may contact College of Dairy Science & Technology during working hours. Dr. Puniya said that the sale of processed goat milk in half Kg packing @ Rs.23/- per pack in cash will be available at sale counter of experimental dairy plant. It will be served on first come first serve basis, as only limited quantity of milk will be available for trial basis.
