Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mohali organized a training programme on cultivation practices of rainy season vegetables at village Barodi of block majri district Mohali. Deputy Director (Training) Dr Yashwant Singh gave brief information on KVK extension activities and various schemes of ICAR. He also explained about Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. He put light on need and importance of vegetable cultivation in present scenario. He motivated farmers to actively participate in KVK activities to achieve maximum advantage. Around 15 vegetable cultivator farmers took part in this training programme. Dr Munish Sharma (Training coordinator) delivered lecture on techniques of growing various vegetables during rainy season. He discussed about various cultivation problems and suggested their solutions. Dr Harmeet Kaur presented lecture on plant protection measures for various vegetable crops. Farmers Ravinder singh, Jagpal Singh, Gurpal Singh and others also shared their experiences with the participants and thanked KVK experts for their efforts.
