A team of 1 Punjab R&V SQN NCC, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary And Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, commanded by Lt Col Tushar Upasani has won one Gold, one silver and three bronze medals in equestrian competitions at Republic Day Camp – 2016 at New Delhi. The camp was held from 29 December 2015 to 28 January 2016. The team comprised two boys and one girl NCC Cadet with three horses in the month-long camp during which various competitions were held. Horse riders from all across the country participated in the event. It is for the first time that the team begged the top positions in the national equestrian competitions at the Republic Day camp. Cadet Ravinder Kaur from College of Vety Science GADVASU- Ludhiana said that she loves horse riding. The Cadets represented the NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh. Other Cadets were Paramveer Singh and Cadet Vishal Kumar. The students were today felicitated by Col Anil Sharma Dy Group Commander Ludhiana GP NCC in a ceremony organized by 1 Punjab R&V Squadron, Ludhiana; the function was also attended by various dignitaries and officials of Ludhiana GP. |
