Dr. Darshan Singh Bari coordinator cultural Activities said that the function will take place on 15th August at 10 Am to 5 Pm at the lawn of College of Veterinary Science and entry will be only for ladies. He said that any lady or girl from any walk of life can participate in it. He said that it is an open invitation to members of all Ladies clubs of the city to enjoy the colours of this special rainy season festival. Dr. Bari told that different competitions of Punjabi dress, Gidha, Mehndi, Swing, long hair tail will be organised. Mr. Aruna Taneja the better half of Vice Chancellor Dr. V. K. Taneja will confer prizes to winners. He said that the senior most participant Lady will also be honoured. Dr. Bari said that to fill all the colours of culture, different stalls of Mehndi designing. Bangles, Ornaments & eatables will be added on attractions. He said that veterinary university is celebrating this function first time and he wished that it will be a successful event with the cooperation of ladies of both universities, different colleges, schools, ladies clubs and house wives.
