The Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi has nominated Dr. S.S.Nagra Professor and Head, Department of Livestock Production Management, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University,Ludhiana on the Common Research Advisory Committee for the Central Avian Research Institute, Izatnagar and Project Directorate on Poultry, Hyderabad for a term of 3 years. The common RAC is a prestigious body for guiding and evaluating the research priorities and development programmes of these National Institutes. Dr. S.S.Nagra is a poultry management and nutrition expert having more than 26 years experience in this field. He is also a member of the advisory committee for Central Poultry Development Organisation to carry out poultry development programmes in the Northern Region. He is a widely travelled scientist and has presented his work in many international and national conferences. He is well known among poultry fraternity and industry and is an elected Vice –President of the Indian Poultry Science Association and the Indian Society of Animal Production and Management.
