Veterinary & Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation Grants Support to Startup Dairy Muneem

To boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, the Veterinary and Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation (VLIIF), Section 8 company of the Varsity sanctioned an Ignition Grant of ?10 lakhs to the emerging startup Agristar Animal Solution Private Limited (Dairy Muneem).
Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, congratulated Mr. Vipen Kumar Sharma, Co-founder of Agristar Animal Solution Pvt. Ltd. (Dairy Muneem), and said that such initiatives would encourage youth to bring forward innovative, tech-driven solutions for the livestock sector. Dr Gill informed that Dairy Muneem is a digital financial and operational management platform designed to empower dairy farmers, milk collectors, and small dairy businesses. The startup aims to transform the traditional dairy sector by providing a simple yet powerful mobile solution that will help users to track milk transactions, manage payments, and improve profitability. He stated that ignition grant is a form of hand-holding support for innovative ideas to find impactful solutions for the dairy industry.
Dr. R.S. Sethi, Additional Director of Research and Principal Investigator of the project, informed that the Dairy Innovation and Incubation Centre has been established under DST-NIDHI’s Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (i-TBI) program. This is the first-of-its-kind initiative at the University and aims to foster a vibrant startup culture by offering infrastructure, mentorship, and financial support to budding entrepreneurs. He opined and wished that the success of Dairy Muneem will write a new chapter in varsity’s journey towards industry-oriented innovation and inclusive growth.
Dr. P.S. Brar, Director of Research, stated that Dairy Muneem is the sixth startup to benefit from this structured incubation facility in the region. Dr Brar appreciated the CEO Mr Ankush Pathania and staff of VLIIF for their efforts being made to support and nurture startups in the livestock and dairy sector.
