The ongoing Youth Festival at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana showcased various social issues of present times. The day was dedicated to theatrical programmes like Mime and skits. Dr Parkash Singh Brar Director Students'Welfare said that the student artists performed in a very professional and efficient manner. Their performances were a true mirror of life and highlighted the current state of social, political and environmental problems of the times. He hoped that these artists would excel in inter-university Youth Festival competitions as well as in life competitions. He appreciated the efforts of these youths.
Dr. Parkash Singh Brar said that in all the competitions, students from College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Science College, Rampura Phul, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar participated. The titles of skits were ‘Maa Boli’, ‘Doctor. Vehma Da’,
‘Punjab 50 Saal Baad’, ‘Fit Hai to Hit Hai’, ‘Chanderyaan’and ‘Asen Bachhe Nahin Han’
Dr. A.P.S Brar organizing Secretary said that Punjabi Group Folk Dance (Females) would be performed tomorrow beginning 2.00 pm and Punjabi Group Folk Dance (Males) would be performed tomorrow beginning 4.00 pm. The venue will remain the same, Open Air Theatre PAU.
