13th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Collage, On the Spot Painting, Elocution and Poetry Competitions. Dr. Digvijay Singh, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul and Dr. Amarjit Singh, Dean College of Animal Biotechnology were the guests of honor for the morning session whereas Dr. MS Bhullar, Director Extension Education, PAU and Dr. RS Grewal, Director Livestock Farms were guests of honor for the afternoon session.
Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director Students’ welfare said that the youth festival aims to develop confidence, courage, wisdom, time management and adventure amongst the youth by providing them a platform for inculcating values and respect for art, culture and heritage.
Dr. A.P.S. Brar, organizing secretary of the festival, detailed that the topic for Collage Making was ‘Landscape’.
Total 10 students participated in Collage Making competition. On the Spot Painting competition was organised at Fisheries Farm. Total 12 students participated in this competition. In all the competitions, students from different colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, College of Fisheries,
College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar in these events. The students were highly motivated and participated with high spirits.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Jt. Org. Sec. informed that Rangoli Making (08.00.a.m), Clay Modeling (11.00 a.m.) and Installation (02.00. p.m) will be held on 27.11.2024 at Examination Hall of College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana.
