GURU ANGAD DEV VETERINARY AND ANIMAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY, LUDHIANA

          Due to COVID-19 situation, the last date of receipt of applications for the posts advertised vide Advt. No. 01/2021, is hereby extended upto 21.06.2021(Monday). 

1. The candidates may also deposit the requisite application fee through electronic mode. The detail of the bank account for deposit of application fee is as under:

The candidates making the payment through electronic mode must mention their name and Sr. No. of post applied in the transaction remarks while making the transaction/transfer. The candidate must mention UTR No. of the application fee submitted through electronic mode in the application form and also attach a proof of the same along with application form; failing which the application will not be considered. The candidates must keep a record of the transaction for future reference.

2.  The minimum eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Professor (Dairy Chemistry) mentioned at Sr. No. 33 of the advertisement may be read as under:

1. B.Sc./B.Sc. (Agri.)/ B.Tech./B.Sc. (Dairy Science & Technology)/Graduation in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Dairy Technology at least with second division.
2. M.V.Sc./ M.Sc./M.Tech. in Dairy Chemistry or Chemistry with specialization in Dairy Chemistry/ Master’s degree in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Dairy Technology with specialization in Dairy Chemistry with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
3. Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).
4. Candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall be compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. Degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidate has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.

Note:    A candidate who may not possess Master’s degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post, such candidate must have obtained minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks at Master’s level in the allied field.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Teaching/Research/Extension duties.
2. To take initiative/ steps in bringing research projects for strengthening the research, teaching and extension education programme.
3. Any other duty assigned from time to time.

3. The candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Professor & equivalent as advertised, wherein it is necessary to have passed the requisite NET examination; the following relaxations are hereby given:

1. The candidates who have appeared in the NET examination but their results are still awaited, may also apply.
2. The candidates who have already applied for the NET examination but the examination is not conducted till date, may also apply.

However, in the event of selection of such a candidate, the appointment orders shall only be issued upon passing the NET examination.

The candidates availing relaxation for NET examination for the posts advertised vide Advt. No. 01/2021 must enclose the duly filled Annexure-A alongwith the proof of applying/appeared the NET examination(i.e. application form/admit card etc. for NET examination) with the application form.
