VACANCY NOTICE

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Project Associate –I in the prescribed format under DBT- 19: DBT-GADVASU Canine Research Centre and Networks funded research project DBT – 19-H entitled “Nutritional and Processing interventions for developing pet foods.” The post is purely temporary and is for six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier. The services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any notice. The term of fellowship may be extended for further period provided that the performance of the candidate is found satisfactory. The required qualifications and emoluments are here under:

Emoluments

Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (per month).

Essential

1. B.V.Sc. & AH or B.Sc. degree in any relevant branch of Life Sciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.0/10.0.
2. M.V.Sc. in any branch of Veterinary Sciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.5/10.0.

Or

          M Sc. in Biochemistry, Animal Biotechnology, Microbiology or any relevant branch of life science with a minimum 
          OCPA of 6.5/10.0.

3. Candidate should have cleared Matric level Punjabi examination. The condition of knowledge of Punjabi upto matric level is however, relaxable, if the candidate is found otherwise deserving.
4. Age Limit: 35 years (as on date of application), which is relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/Women candidates.
5. Preference will be given to candidates with M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition, Vererinary Biochemistry, Livestock Product Technology, Animal Biotechnology and having working experience in analytical techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Research duties according to the objectives of the project.
2. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

                   The last date for receipt of applications duly completed in all respects (in the prescribed format attached) along with a recent passport size photograph and attested photocopies of all related documents in this office by 17/01/2020.  Incomplete applications or unsupported by the requisite documents will not be entertained.  The candidates should appear for interview on 20/01/2020 at 11.00 a.m. along with their original certificates/degrees in the office of the undersigned. No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview and no separate letter for the interview will be issued.
