VACANCY NOTICE

Applications are invited for one post of Accounts Officer (on Contract) in the research project entitled, “DBT-19: DBT-GADVASU Canine Research Centre and Networks”

 

Eligibility and Qualifications:-

1. First class (60%) or above in B.Com from a recognized university with 03 year experience of handling accounts/finance in Central Govt / State Govt / PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies requisite experience will be judged. Candidates having experience of working in the private organizations of repute may also be considered.

OR

 

First class (60%) or above in M.Com from a recognized university with specialization in Accountancy/ Finance with at least one year of working experience of handling accounts/finance in Central Govt / State Govt / PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies requisite experience will be judged. Candidates having experience of working in the private organizations of repute may also be considered.

 

2. Preference will be given to those having hands on experience in the working of computer applications.

 

3. Passed Punjabi upto Matric level

Desirable Qualification:-

• Knowledge of Government rules & regulations, Computer Applications/ Management Information system.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Assist Project Coordinator, Program Coordinator in discharge of his financial responsibilities.
• Prepare budget for implementation of project.
• To ensure timely release of fund to implementing/executing agencies as per Annual Plan.
• Ensure timely submission of Accounts and Utilization Certificates and annual reports by implementing/executive agencies.
• Timely reconciliation of accounts and submission of financial progress reports as prescribed under rules.
• Any other duty assigned from time to time.

 

 

 

Age Limit:

Candidate should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age on the last date to apply for the above said post i.e. 27-06-2018.

Emoluments:

 

Fixed Rs. 25000/- per month (Consolidated) upto completion of project i.e. 3 years.

Conditions: The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. However, the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice. The initial appointment will be for six months and further extension will be subject to satisfactory progress of the candidate. The incumbent will have no right what-so-ever for absorption in the regular university service.

The last date for the receipt of applications (biodata with one recent photograph and attested photocopies of all the supporting documents/including educational qualifications, awards, higher degree, experience etc.) in the office of the undersigned is 27-06-2018 up to 5.00 PM.
