VACANCY NOTICE

Applications are invited for Three posts of Research Associates in the research project entitled, “DBT-19: DBT-GADVASU Canine Research Centre and Networks”

The qualifications for the post are as follows:

Essential

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Veterinary Science or any other branch of Life Sciences or MD/MS/MDS from a recognized University
  OR
  Master’s degree in M.V.Sc/M.Pharma with 03 Years of research experience, teaching experience after Master's degree and at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal, and with an overall credit point average of 6.50/10 or 65% marks and above
• Graduation with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University 
• Knowledge of Punjabi up to matric level. The condition of knowledge in Punjabi is however relaxable, if the candidate is found otherwise deserving.

Desirable: The candidate with B.V.Sc & AH. as basic degree or having research experience in Veterinary sciences or area related to the project mandate will be given preference over other candidates.

Job responsibilities:

• As per mandate of the project.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Age Limit:

Below 40 Years (as on date of application), which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/Women candidates.

Emoluments:

Research Associate I	Rs. 36,000.00 + 20% HRA (per month)	As above
Research Associate II	Rs. 38,000.00 + 20% HRA (per month)	As for Research Associate I + minimum 2 Years of research experience (as Research Associate), with at least two research papers in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Research Associate III	Rs. 40,000.00 + 20% HRA (per month)	As for Research Associate I + minimum of 4 Years of research experience (as Research Associate), with at least four research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Conditions: The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. However, the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice. The initial appointment will be for six months and further extension will be subject to satisfactory progress of the candidate. The incumbent will have no right what-so-ever for absorption in the regular university service.

The last date for the receipt of applications (biodata with one recent photograph and attested photocopies of all the supporting documents/ certificates) in the office of the undersigned is 23-5-2018 up to 5.00 PM.  The interested candidates should appear for the interview on 25-5-2018 (Friday) at 10.00 AM in the committee room of the undersigned. The candidates must bring original documents for verification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
