Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran organized National awareness campaign on the theme "Agriculture and Environment: the Citizen Face" under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at KVK campus. During this event, a total number of 38 school students marked their presence and interacted with KVK scientists. During inaugural address, Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Associate Director enlightened the participants about various aspects of agriculture & environment. Dr. Kumar further requested all the students for making their efforts towards organic farming in order to curtail agriculture environmental pollution. Dr. Anil Kumar, Assistant professor, Soil Science elaborated about 
various types of environmental pollutions occurred during cultivation of different crops and provided solutions for the same. Co-coordinating the event, Dr. Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon, Assistant Professor, Home Science motivated the students regarding the use of resource conservations technologies. Dr. Prabhsimran Kaur Gill, Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) conducted a quiz competition among students and provided knowledge for the questions raised by them. Later after lectures, students were taken to technology unit at KVK where they took keen interest in displayed material and learned new agricultural and livestock technologies for sustainable farming system. Dr. Dhillon extended gratitude to the school authorities and staff for sparing their valuable time to enable the students for attending the event.
