Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran organized one day National Campaign on Poshan Abhiyan and Tree Plantation in association with IFFCO at its premises. In this workshop, IFFCO Officers along with KVK Scientists, Anganwadi Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers, farm women and farmers participated and interacted with a panel of experts for amelioration of their nutritional status. Dr. Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon, Assistant Professor, Home Science and Dr. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Professor (LP), coordinated this 
event. Inaugural programme was joined virtually by KVK scientists along with beneficiaries. After the inaugural programme, KVK along with IFFCO delegates and Child Development Project Officer from Patti and extension functionaries made beneficiaries aware about advantages of nutrition garden. Mrs. Baljit Kaur, CDPO Patti, delivered lecture on nutrient content of locally grown millets (maize). Dr. Dhillon enlightened about nutri cereals and their role in human health management. Further, Dr. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Livestock production emphasized on the significance of tree plantation for agriculture, livestock rearing and rural livelihood. Sapling of different trees such as Gulmohar, Amaltash, Neem, Moringa etc were planted at KVK campus and distributed to the beneficiaries as well. Vegetable seed kits were also provided to the participants. Dr. Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon and Dr. Suresh Kumar appreciated the participants for sparing their valuable time to attend the event.
