With the motive to develop small dairy farmers and bee-keepers, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) organized one day training program and awareness camp on Livestock nutrition under supervision of Dr. Parminder Singh, Associate Director (Training), KVK. During the programme, he shared important tips regarding livestock management and their feeding system. He said that to get maximum milk produce, the livestock should graze and roam freely. Farmers should provide clean drinking water to the dairy animals. Along with this he inspired the farmers towards marketing of honey along with its production. Programme incharge, Dr. Harmeet Kaur shared information regarding importance of beekeeping and role of honey bees in pollination to increase crop productivity. Dr. Shashi Pal also shared information regarding dairy shed and disease management in dairy animals. On this occasion mineral mixture, literature and beekeeping equipments were distributed to the farmers/ farm women. On behalf of village farmers, Mr. Rashpal Singh thanked KVK faculty to organize this programme.
