Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran organized one day awareness cum training programme at village Ghariala, district Tarn Taran and provided scientific knowledge regarding precision dairy farming and processing of dairy produce. 10 farmers and farm women participated in this training programme. During event, Dr. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Livestock Production discussed the scientific techniques of dairy farming with the farmers. He also discussed university's technical inputs such as Mineral mixture, bypass fat, uromin lick and scientific literature available at KVK. Farmers also showed their interest in these products. Dr. Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon, Assistant Professor, Home Science motivated the dairy farmers and farm women regarding value addition of dairy produce through employing diverse array of in dairy sector. Scientists also encouraged the beneficiaries regarding self help group formation by joining hands with each other and KVK Booh as well. Further, a group discussion regarding the issues faced by dairy farmers and farming women regarding management of dairy farmers and processing of dairy produce was arranged . Scientists enlighten the trainees about various other techniques to convert "Waste to Wealth". Participants were overwhelmed with this collaborative effort initiated by KVK scientists.
