Krishi Vigyan Kendra, SAS Nagar (Mohali) organized training programme on “Nutritional Deficiency in Dairy Animals” under
RKVY-12 scheme for SC/ST farmers of village Tira . Farmers of underprivileged category (SC/ST) took part in this training programme. Dr. Parminder Singh, Associate Director (Training), KVK addressed the trainees to rear their animal in scientific manner. He emphasized to adopt balanced ration to dairy animals and maximizing the profit per animal. He also briefed trainees regarding various facilities provided by K.V.K and GADVASU, Ludhiana for the farmers. Dr Shashi Pal, Assistant Professor, Livestock Production (Training Coordinator) guided the farmers for feed formulation. He stressed on nutritional deficiency in dairy animals and their remedies. The products of GADVASU like mineral mixture, uromin licks and nutrition calendars were distributed free of cost among the trainee farmers. Dr. Bikram Rana, Veterinary Officer (CVH) village Tira also interacted with participants. All participants thanked KVK faculty for conducting such an excellent and interactive mode of training programme.
