KVK, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) team organized Kisan Goshthi in adopted village Badanpur on under Central Sector Scheme on ‘Promotion of Agricultural mechanization for in situ management of crop residue”. Dr. Priyanka Suryavanshi, Assistant Professor (Agronomy) and Dr. Harmeet Kaur, Assistant professor (Plant Protection) informed farmers about various aspects of this scheme and the benefits (trainings and demonstrations) which government is going to provide to the farmers for in situ crop residue management. Farmers were made aware about use of machineries like Happy Seeder, Rotavator, Paddy Straw Chopper cum Spreader, mulcher and zero till. The farmers promised full cooperation to the KVK scientists to make this scheme a great success. 10 farmers participated in this goshthi.
