Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mohali organizes progressive Farmer-Scientist interaction and one day training on Protected cultivation of Vegetable and flower crops on 13.05.2016. The progressive farmers practising protected cultivation took part in this interaction. The programme started with welcome note by training Coordinator Dr Munish Sharma. Deputy Director (Training) Dr Yashwant Singh gave a brief presentation on KVK extension activities and informed farmers about the advantages of protected cultivation. Dr Munish Sharma (Training coordinator) gave detailed presentation on techniques of growing various vegetable and flowers under protected environment. He discussed about various problems of cultivation and suggested their solutions. Dr Harmeet Kaur delivered lecture on plant protection measures. Dr Yashwant Singh encouraged growers to make an association of progressive farmers to take maximum advantage from mutual experiences. Progressive farmers Sukhjinder Singh Mavi, Jaswinder Singh and Karanvir Singh also shared their experiences with the participants. Dr Munish Sharma extended the vote of thanks and motivated farmers to attend vocational training programme on this subject to be held in the month of june.
