KVK, Tarn Taran conducts FLD on Battered and Breaded Fish Products

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tarn Taran organized FLD on Battered and Breaded Fish Products  at KVK campus. About 33 farmers, farm women and school students participated in this programme.  Speaking in the inaugural session of the programme, Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Associate Director (T) highlighted the importance of value addition of fish for self employment. He motivated the trainees to adopt the fish processing for maintaining their livelihood. Co-ordinating the event, Dr Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon, Assistant Professor, Home Science explained about different value added techniques for fish products. Dr. Gulgul Singh, Subject Matter Specialist (Fisheries) enlightened the trainees regarding  fish processing methods with reference to use of different ingredients. Dr. Dhillon and Dr. Singh demonstrated the recommended processing technologies i.e. fish fingers and fish balls to the beneficiaries.  Dr. Kumar suggested farmers to visit KVK regularly for better scientific knowledge for making their venture more profitable. Dr Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon proposed the vote of thanks.
