Krishi Vigyan Kendra S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized one day training on "Guava Cultivation Technology" at KVK campus. This programme was coordinated by Dr Munish Sharma, Assistant Professor (Horticulture) who delivered lectures on guava cultivation techniques, suitable varieties, training and pruning, crop regulation and nutritional aspects. He discussed about possible solution of the problem faced by the farmers. Topics like importance of fruits for
water conservation and human health were also discussed. During this training programme good quality nursery plants of guava were also distributed to trainee farmers so that they can adopt fruit farming. Dr Parminder Singh, Associate Direector (Trg) directed KVK experts for conducting more such programmes for the welfare of farming community. Beneficiary farmers thanked KVK faculty for this program.
