Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana organised week long awareness activities on parasitic infections in livestock and under that series Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal 
Sciences University, Ludhiana organised one day workshop on Strategies to overcome parasitic problems in dairy animals under field conditions under the theme “INDIA@75: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at KVK Tarn Taran. A total number of 40 participants including farmers, field Veterinary officers and KVK Scientists of Tarn Taran and adjoining districts attended this workshop. Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Associate Director (Training), KVK, Booh, Tarn Taran welcomed the officers and farmers in this workshop and discussed about the economic losses in dairy industry due to parasitic diseases. He also talked about the different activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tarn Taran for 
socio economic upliftment of the farming community. Dr. Paramjit Kaur discussed about the Anthelmintic resistance in dairy animals and remedies to combat parasitic problems in cattle and buffaloes. Dr. Harkirat Singh explained in detail about prevention and management of parasitic diseases in dairy animals to improve productivity and livestock returns. Dr. Suresh Kumar, discussed about the management strategies for control of ectoparasitic infestations in the livestock. He also talked about the importance of mineral mixture in dairy animals. The products of GADVASU like mineral mixture, Uromin licks and literature in the form of books, charts and pamphlets were also displayed.
