Krishi Vigyan Kendra, SAS Nagar (Mohali) organized training programme on “Nutritional Deficiency in Dairy Animals” under supervision of Associate Director KVK, Dr. Parminder Singh for SC/ST farmers of village Khizrabad . Farmers of underprivileged category (SC/ST) took part in this training programme. Dr. Parminder Singh encouraged the trainees to rear their animal in scientific manner. He emphasized to adopt balanced ration for dairy animals and maximizing the profit from per unit animal. He also briefed trainees regarding various facilities provided by KVK and GADVASU, Ludhiana for the farmers. Dr Shashi Pal, Assistant Professor, Training Coordinator guided the farmers for feed formulation of dairy animals. He stressed on nutritional deficiency in dairy animals and their remedies. Mineral mixture & uromin licks from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana were also distributed free of cost among trainee farmers. Village sarpanch, Ms. Jasvir Kaur and progressive farm women, Ms. Sarbjit Kaur thanked KVK faculty for conducting an interactive mode of training programme.
