Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tarn Taran webcasted live address of Prime Minister of India to the farmers of district Tarn Taran on the occasion of transferring installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna . More than 80 farmers belonging to different villages of district Tarn Taran along with KVK team participated in the programme either at KVK or via online . Speaking on the inaugural session of the programme, Dr Balwinder Kumar Associate Director (Training) discussed about the importance of this programme and the scheme launched by Govt of India which will help the small and marginal farmers to take care of the expenses related to agriculture and allied activities and will ensure the means of livelihood for small and marginal farmers. Sh. Modi transferred a total of Rs 18,000 crore in the bank accounts of nine crore Indian farmers under the scheme. The Prime Minister also addressed the farmers and discussed about new farm laws .60 farmers and 20 KVK staff members witnessed programme online.
