A block level awareness camp on Crop Residue Management (CRM) was organized by KVK, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana at village Naggal Salempur to create awareness among farmers regarding management of their crop residues. Programme Incharge, Dr. Harmeet Kaur guided the farmers regarding importance of proper management of crop residues. She explained different methods for in-situ management of crop residues. Dr Shashi Pal provided information on ex-situ management of crop residues. He also explained different uses of these residues for dairy animals. Twenty five participants were present along with village Sarpanch during this programme. They shared their experiences for managing their crop residues with KVK experts and promised to manage them properly instead of burning them.
