Krishi Vigyan Kendra, SAS Nagar (Mohali) of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana organized training programme on “Nutritional Deficiency in Dairy Animals” under RKVY-12 scheme for SC/ST farmers of village Naglian. Twenty seven farmers of underprivileged category took part in this training programme. Dr Shashi Pal, Assistant Professor, Livestock Production (Training Coordinator), conducted this training programme and he guided for balanced feeding to dairy animals and maximizing the profit from per unit animal. He stressed on nutritional deficiency in dairy animals. He also briefed trainees regarding various facilities provided by K.V.K and GADVASU, Ludhiana for the farmers. The materials of GADVASU like mineral mixture, uromin licks and nutrition calendars were distributed free of cost among the trainee farmers. Dr Munish Sharma, Assistant Professor (Hort.) was present there and he guided them for scientific way to follow effective utilization of dairy animal waste in kitchen gardening. Sarpanch and progressive dairy farmers also interacted with participants and shared their experiences. All participants thanked KVK faculty for conducting such an excellent and interactive mode of training programme.
