Krishi Vigyan Kendra, SAS Nagar (Mohali) celebrated World Egg Day on 09.10.2020 at its campus located in the Model Town, Kurali. Under the guidance of Dr Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director, K.V.K, Mohali, A total of eleven farmers/farm women and youth participated in this event. Dr. Yashwant Singh delivered lecture on “Egg Production and Importance of Eggs”. Dr Shashi Pal, Assistant Professor, Livestock Production gave detailed lecture on “ Designer Eggs and How to Add Value for the Marketing of the Eggs”. Dr Parul Gupta, Assistant Professor (Home Sci.) briefed about “Nutritional value of eggs and egg products and nutritional aspects of eggs”. During this event, farmers were also shown method demonstration on how to check fresh and stale eggs. Dr Vikas Phulia, Assistant Professor (Fisheries) was also present in this event. All participants thanked KVK faculty for conducting this event for enhancing their knowledge level.
