  • Ph.D. (Veterinary Surgery and Radiology)

Teaching and Other Appointments

  • Involved in under- graduate and post- graduate teaching in various courses regarding surgery, radiology, ultrasonography, anesthesiology etc.Worked on minimally invasive techniques like Laparoscopy, endoscopy, arthroscopy, theloscopy and thelorescetoscopy.Started doppler ultrasonography of renal vasculature , aorta and vena cava in health and disease in canine patients.

Area of Research Interests

  • Diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia and surgery in small and large animals. Compared the accuracy and sensitivity of radiography and ultrasonography in diagnosing abdominal affections in dogs, especially conditions of liver, spleen, uterus, kidneys, urinary bladder, prostate gland and testis.
  • Studies on sensitivity of Doppler ultrasonography in renal disorders.
  • Standardising Doppler parameters for hepatic and splenic vessels.
  • Standardisation of contrast enhanced ultrasonography done and applied in clinical cases for diagnosis of abdominal tumours.
  • Minimally invasive techniques viz. laparoscopy, endoscopy, theloscopy and arthroscopy developed and applied clinically.
  • Evaluated the role of oxidative and surgical stress in major surgeries viz. diaphragmatic herniorrhaphy and formulate prognostic factors for the same.
