Area of Research Interests

  • My research interest is in understanding and improving the safety and quality of fish products through innovative processing techniques. My research has uncovered the presence of pathogenic E. coli in Indian major carps from the northeast region, highlighting a new concern for public health. Further, I ve explored the impact of drying processes on fishs nutritional profile, analyzing changes in its proteome, fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. My current focus is on developing value-added fish products and maximizing the utilization of fish waste for sustainable food and non-food applications. This research aims to enhance food security, promote public health, and contribute to a circular economy within the fishing industry
