Dr.Navdeep Singh, Professor of Surgery, assumed the charge of Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology on 16/9/20 after his name was cleared in the meeting of Board of Management of GADVASU on 11/9/20. He completed his B.V.Sc& A.H., M.V.Sc (Surgery & radiology) and Ph.D (Surgery & Radiology) from P.A.U. He has 18 years of experience in Teaching, Extension and Research. He has been associated with nine research projects and has authored about 52 research articles in peer reviewed journals and 46 extension articles. He received a Visiting Associate Professor Fellowship from UC, Davis, California, US. The Department being a Centre for Advanced Faculty Training of ICAR, he aims to maintain the Numero Uno status of Department and intends to take the department forward with the help and support of faculty of the department. Dr.Navdeep started his career from the extension post and rose to the position of Professor in extension and has worked in Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical complex since last four years. He has worked for the livestock farmer community of Punjab and is well acquainted with the problems being faced by farmers and pet owners
