My area of research interest includes ecological assessment of natural aquatic fisheries resources, monitoring of water quality, plankton diversity, pollution studies with special reference to heavy metal analysis, biological studies of freshwater fishes, fish stock assessment and database generation for framing conservation strategies as well as policy making to preserve the natural fisheries resources
