Area of Research Interests

  • Mineral imbalances in dairy animals
  • Iodine deficiency in bovines
  • Dermatological disorders in canines
  • Working on research scheme entitled “Nutritional deficiency diseases of dairy  animals; their Cinicopathological,   Diagnostic and Therapeutic aspects” since 1998. Undertaking research work  on surveillance of nutritional deficiency diseases  of high producing dairy animals especially crossbred and exotic cattle and high producing buffaloes in relation to soil and plant minerals status. Based on the findings, specific therapeutic measures have been tested for alleviation of the problems.  Based on the local geoclimatic conditions, for prevention of nutritional diseases, attempts have been made to develop specific nutritional supplement formulations which will help in minimizing the economic losses suffered by dairy farmers due to the widely prevalent disorders.
